The girls seem the centre of the gossip at the moment in the X Factor, as Cher Lloyd has given her most revealing interview yet, while sources have been alluding to the fact there is backbiting between her and the other female contestants.
It is being reported that Treyc Cohen, Katie Waissel and Rebecca Ferguson are all a bit peeved at the fawning praise for Cher last week. Apparently things have got so bad that Big Mr C himself has had to step in to tell the girls to concentrate on the singing.
Perhaps part of the reason can be gleaned form this recent comment from Cher: “I occasionally have a little tantrum – I laugh my head off at my little tantrums afterwards, but they’re not really tantrums, I’m just stating the reason I’m unhappy. I think it’s always the best. You’ve got to say because otherwise no-one will hear you out.”
She also doesn’t seem too worried about her tantrums annoying Simon – “I know Simon respects that. He likes divas!”
Cher tonight will be performing Empire State of Mind while Katie will be performing No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak”.
Treyc is singing Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing”, which seems a risky choice but she is seemingly pleased with it commenting: “I think I’m going to have an epic moment and I just feel really happy”.
Strong words..but we all know what pride comes before.
