Will.i.am has given rising star Nicki Minaj even more kudos by teaming up with her for her new video “Check It Out” – a Japanese manga type affair with the song sampling Buggles “Video Killed the Radio Star”.
Her 1.5 million twitter fans (yes…she already racked up a quite a following) has been expected to get the track listing for her upcoming album, but instead she tweeted
“So ya didn’t get tracklisting butchya got the ‘check it out’ video. Doesn’t mama always come thru w/smthn? *awkward smile & big eyes*”
Though this is just the latest in a line of collaborations for the artist, it is likely to be her most important as it comes so close to the release of her record.
Here’s the video – though there is also a version knocking about with extra Cheryl Cole lyrics, should you want that. The song is catchy and fun. After three listens you won’t be able to get it out your head.
