Hmmmm….The Wanted are doing the Comic Relief official music video this time round. Now we haven’t seen the video yet, but it doesn’t like there can be much humour got out of this one. Here’s a bit of promo followed by the song:
Maybe its a grower, but right now I can’t help but feel it’s a bit shit. Weird tinny dancey type base with The Wanted’s traditional boy band vocals seem to jut against each other..but these things never live up to the greatness of the Comic Relief brand and I guess that’s not really what it’s about.
However, the video is really going to have to pull it out the bag and be funny…which I just can’t see with this song. If it’s just The Wanted standing about on cliff tops clenching their fists and looking wistfully into the middle distance I’m going to be morally outraged, a state I often find myself in, for millions of people in need of charity.
Anyway, like it or not you’re all going to go out and buy a copy…or at least give the cash equivalent to the cause. It will be released on the 13th of March, just in time for the big event which will be taking place on the 18th.
Dig deep!
On a related note, we’ve got about fifteen copies of Rob Brydon and that lady from Gavin and Stacey singing Islands in the Stream if anyone wants one. We could have passed it off as a competition but are too lazy.
