Jessie J might be the freshest thing on the UK pop scene (although Claire Macguire looks like she’s going to be the latest next big thing) – but she has still been able to give an admiring glance to more established pop sensation Rihanna. Here’s what she had to say recently:
“[Rihanna] is one of my style icons. You never see her looking rough and I’m loving the red hair. I can’t believe we are the same age. I aspire to be the hardworking hottie she is. She’s my girl crush.”
She’s going to have competition though. Recently Rihanna has been associated with Ryan Phillipe and Colin Farrell (the latter of who is apparently VERY taken with her indeed).
Now we’re going to ignore all you cynics who will be seeing this as a way to just piggyback on to RiRi’s daily column inches and point out that it’s simply nice to see two popstars getting on with each other in these days of Minaj/Lil Kim style beef…let’s just hope Rihanna don’t go an treat Jessie J the same way its alleged she treated Ciara. Actually scratch that. Let’s hope she does and we can all sit back and watch the sparks fly on our favourite social networking site!
