What’s more important…to be good or to work hard? Well if Peter Andre is anything to judge by you can just put in the effort. The singer has been named the hardest working man in music according to PRS. So how was this worked out? Well, its based on the fact he travelled round the country playing 38 gigs for his Revelation Tour (which incidentally was not a revelation), performing to 100,000 fans.
Status Quo, JLS, Westlife and Rod Stweart, in that order, were the runners up.
If this constitutes the hardest anyone has worked in music then the industry is in worse shape than we thought. Driving around a fairly small country to mime for a couple of hours doesn’t exactly make Andre a hard working, salt of the earth, sort of chap.
To all those upcoming acts trying to really make a name for themselves, playing over 300 gigs a year in hostile bars, we’re sorry you have to put up with this sort of accolade going to over paid mime artists like Peter Andre.
*PS we should point out we do like JLS, who have worked blooming hard this year.
