Now we all know Paloma Faith is a bit of a twat, but usually this is just in a shouty, “ooo…look at me…i just did a zany thing!” kinda way. There’s never really any obvious malice behind it.
Well, what happens when some people nod along (usually in an embarrassed way) to this behaviour and the media use it to fill left over editorial space? That’s right…Paloma gets cocky:
She’s now trending number 4 on twitter. She’s only ever got to 9 in the UK album chart….15 in the singles chart.

And doesn’t Paloma have some justification for what she said?
I’ve never seen her be anything but friendly to fans during and after gigs, but everyone’s entitled to time off to enjoy a holiday.

Grace Dent is a columnist for The Guardian. Writes a weekly TV column.
The tone of her tweet is clearly that of a diva. To be asked for a photo with a fan is a compliment and an honour. It’s not a chore.
Then to warn other fans not to bother you on your holiday? Please.
Everyone deserves a break, but fans asking for a snap is art of the territory. Plenty of MUCH more famous people get asked for a pic much more regularly. Never heard them tell fans not to bother them….well apart from Ringo Starr.

what an ignorant piece of writing !! dont you get tongue in cheek humour !! its journalists like you who feed into the public consciousness that anyone in the public eye is fodder for public abuse and bullying . whatever happened to common sense ? unbelievable really – Paloma hasnt hit anyone or told anyone to F off . If I was her i think I would now !! Paloma is a singer who has worked her arse off all year to sell her music and its paid off so now she deserves a week off !! Get real !! I have seen first hand the constant intrusion – and always taken in good humour ,Paloma gives alot to her fans and will continue to do so I am sure.Maybe you should interview her rather than join the idiots who found her twitter offensive . Paloma is delightful !!
