Woah, Woah Woah! Did Will.i.am just say Michael Jackson would definitely have worked with Cheryl Cole? The answer is yes…and why was he desperate to work with her – because Will.i.am told MJ that she was good. Here’s his comments:
“I told him Cheryl was the hottest thing in Britain and could sing and dance – basically, she was the complete package. He would have worked with her, no doubt, and it would have been something special. They are both total perfectionists when it comes to their work so it would have been something really big. It’s just a shame it can never happen now”
Oh come on! This mutual appreciation society is all getting a bit much now. Cheryl isn’t a talented musician…there I said it, and we all knew it – so don’t kick off in the comments. Yes, she makes good pop songs, but that’s a testament to the team that put the whole Cheryl Cole package together rather than her. She’s just good at being a celeb.
We liked Cheryl when she was in Girls Aloud…it was an interesting set up. Now though it just seems like she’s being pushed into superstar status without the music to back it up. Simon Cowell is campaigning, against all sensible advice, to have her on the US X Factor, while outlandish comments like this are being made to a wide audience by a supposedly credible pop star. Will.i.am’s infatuation with Cheryl is now clearly self evident.
In between this sort of thing, fawning Piers Morgan type interviews and the attempt to make her the darling of America there is a real chance we’re going to become a bit peeved by Cheryl. We say…let’s all big up Kimberly Walsh!

We shouldn’t blame Cheryl Cole if people are obsessed with her. The British media should stop writing stories about her out of nonsenses. This bashing society is all getting a bit much.
