Lykke Li Sadness Is a Blessing Video

Lykke Li has been out on the road for seemingly forever. Now though she’s back putting out haunting videos, again teaming up with Tarik Saleh with whom she worked on I Follow Rivers. If anyone has seen iamamiwhoami videos then you’ll know that the Swedes love their spookily atmospheric videos – here’s Sadness is a Blessing:

“Who is that bloke?” we hear you ask. It’s Stellan Skarsgård, the Swedish actor yo might recognise out of Pirates of The Caribbean, Thor, Good Will Hunting and Mama Mia!

For some reason Lykke Li (who always seems to get her full name) has never really crossed over into pop success with her singles, though she’s built up quite a nice and eclectic following ranging from indie fans to pop tarts. We have to admit though, despite how much we like her, there is a bit of a difference in how she looks in Sadness is a  Blessing and this session.
