Hype Williams has made an epilepsy inducing video for Kanye’s new tune “All The Lights”. It’s also made even more spectacular by having little known artist Rihanna help out with the track. Here’s the video:
OK…so both have done better songs..and it seems to come to a really disappointing end like they weren’t really sure where to go with the track…but this is still a really good effort, and with the stylish cinematic quality of the video this is something we will be playing again and again.
What we find really interesting though is Rihanna’s Jodie Marsh type bra top that she is wearing. It seems 2011 will be the year where she bears more flesh. The strange thing is, she really doesn’t have to. So far this year she’s been firing on all cylinders and there’s no need for her to bear her body to share all.
We don’t think this collaboration is going to sell live quite up commercially to what you would expect from a Rihanna/Kanye West collaboration – but at the same time we like that this hasn’t been a “spectacular”. Both artists have just done what they do and have naturally fitted together without having to add rasmatas to cover an unnatural pairing….as is usually the case with such arrangements.
