Joe McElderry has released his video for his single “Someone Wake Me Up” video, an official accompaniment to the new film Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. In consequence the video doesn’t really have much for Joe to do – spliced in between clips of the movie he just sings into a mic giving his stage school face to camera every now and again. Deciding they needed to do something with him, he ends up getting a bit wet towards the end of the video.
The single is a bit on the bland side, suggesting they aint quite figured which direction they want Joe to go in yet. I don’t think it’s fair to judge him on this single though.
This will be the first single for the film in the UK, while across the atlantic Carrie Underwood will be leading the charge.
