Joe McElderry has finally got his video for Ambitions out there…and like his X Factor performances, it’s very stage school.
Now at one time calling someone “stage school” was a bit of a dig. The starry eyes, wide smiles and wide open gestures, reminiscent of Christian evangalists, would make a British public feel a bit quezy. It was quarantined to West End plays where it was somehow lent legitimacy by being “theatre”.
Then High School Musical and Glee hit these shores and shifted things a bit more towards the US way. If you don’t believe me watch home grown Joe over emote his way through this video.
