Smug faces all round here as we pointed out Jessie J before all the hype. We’re not prone to being smug…it’s just a few times recently we’ve been massively behind the curve. Anyway she’s been doing a bit for Radio One recently and below you can see her performance of Do It Like a Man and an interview she gave them:
She’s no doubt set for world domination this year and has been getting some big coverage over in the states as well as here. She’s just won the BBC Sound of 2011 poll and is set to ick up the Critics Choice award at the Brits. However, what has really surprised us is that she is in talks for a Christmas duo with Leona Lewis. Jessie said:
“Leona and I want to do a duet together. I’m planning to write a Whitney-Mariah-style When You Believe kind of song and release it next Christmas.”
This is a shock as a) the festive period is about as far away as you can get and b) Jessie J is pretty edgy right now, and Leona, bless her, is as edgy as a satsuma.
