Jedward Make a Move On Lena Meyer-Landrut

We were never really sure about Jedward’s sexuality. Many times it’s been suggested to us that they are gay, but we’ve always preferred to think of them as asexual  -  jumping around, singing the Ghostbusters’ theme tune and sex just don’t seem to mix. It’s like using Ribenna as a mixer. It takes childhood and thrusts adulthood onto it in a way that feels wrong. Imagine our surprise then when we found out Jedward had asked out last year’s Eurovision winner, and this year’s entrant for Germany, Lena Meyer-Landrut. Her lyrics are a bit ridiculous, but shes got bags of enthusiasm and comes across as quite endearing managing to charm everyone who watched the song contest – making her a perfect match for John and Edward!

Innocence seemed to be restored though as the boys asked her out as a pair, implying that they really just wanted to be friends (or, if your mind is so inclined, that they wanted a threesome, something the Jedward army would probably kill her for). John though managed to go a little bit further than Edward in stealing a kiss from the German pop star, after the pair presented her with flowers.

As you would expect there has been some indignant reactions across Twitter, but we’d suggest the fans are more than safe on this one. In any event there are two of them, so they’re always a second chance.

After all this time, we still can’t figure out whether the boys are ones creating this gloriously silly pop phenomenon or they’re the butt of the joke. As they seem to have been pretty savvy in making more money than any other X Factor contestant from their year, we reckon it must be the former.
