Our Thoughts? Dino reminds us of the sort of chap who would interrupt a romantic meal of holidaymakers in Spain to sing them a song. They would smile nervously, but he’d just keep singing Love in Rewind, probably with some unsavoury looks at the girl.
Despite this though we have been charmed by the song, especially the soppy non-sequiturs like “one to a hundred, multiply by you, it all looks great”. He seems so happy about his performance too he can’t help but dance about in his own way (and it can’t be easy to get your knee that high when your Dino’s age).
He’s obviously a very talented old pro (bopping about about with a guitar and singing like that is no mean task). We wish him all the best and hope he finishes top five.
Watch out for the backing girl with the tambourine on the night. She’s desperate to get her face seen by the millions watching.
Chances? We think he will do surprisingly well. He’s rated to be the 5th or 6th favourite depending on who takes your gamble and we think there could be some smart money on Dino. He could be the dark horse of the competition.
