Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell look like they are going to be turning their backs on the UK over the coming year, as rumours firm up that both of them will be passing on the X Factor UK due to the demanding schedule of being involved in the US counterpart.
The News of The World are reporting Simon as saying to a friend: ‘I’m committed to the American show and I’m not going to do both”…and we all know how far that publication will go to get the personal utterances of the famous.
Cheryl on the other hand seems to have pulled out of releasing her duet with Dizzee Rascal. The track Everybody, Everyone was planned to be her third single from her Messy Little Raindrops album, but another stalwart of Sunday morning journalism, the Daily Star, is reporting this statement from a friend.
“She has been working non-stop promoting the album since recovering from malaria and she needs a break…She told her record label she didn’t want to heavily promote Everybody, Everyone so the release has been scrapped over fears it would be a flop.”
Given the disappointing chart performance of The Flood, this could be a real risk. The source also went on to point out that she has too many work commitments to do this.
We think there could be two new X Factor judges come this summer.
