Apple Keynote – What Do Music Lovers Want: Vote

iTunes now has a 70% share of US digital music downloads, trouncing Amazon and Wal-Mart.  With great power comes great responsibility though, and we’re asking you want Steve Jobs to announce in his January keynote to help the music industry. Now given previous behaviour it’s unlikely they’ll give up much..and in 2009 the did give up some DRM restrictions on iTunes…so we can hope and lobby! So vote below for what you would like to see:

Given the rumours earlier this year that Apple has been pressuring record labels who participated in the Amazon Daily Deal promotion, let’s hope that they will be chilling out a bit in 2011. Given their market share is more than enough to be considered a monopoly, surely they will have to, as all that needs to be proved is that they have used this power in an uncompetitive way and they’ll find themselves on the wrong end of an anti-trust case.
