We’re loving Adele’s rise to the very top. It’s made even more sweet by the fact that she is doing it with a painful break up album, which must make her feel a bit better about the whole affair…like putting two fingers up to an ex with the whole nation cheering. We just hope she’s not starting to believe the hype as she’s had a bit of a swipe at Katy Perry for seemingly no reason. Here’s what she’s had to say recently:
No one’s ever told me to lose weight or anything like that…I don’t rely on my tits to have hits.
How I look has never been a big part of my life. I’ve never looked at a magazine and thought, “That’s how I need to look if I want to be successful in life.
If you compare the way I look to big artists like, say, Katy Perry, I’m living proof it’s all about the music because there’s nothing else I’m relying on to do well.
Now while she’s not directly having a go at Katy here, it is fairly obvious that if you single out one person you’re implying something pretty heavy about them in particular. Yes, she does put her boobs on display- but at the same time she takes the piss out of of her own image doing this, and in fact in California Gurls there seemed to be more than a little sending up of her own image. Also its not mainly boys that by her records, so the boobs don’t really help her success.
As said above we like Adele, and she was making a good point here, so we’ll imagine she wasn’t being bitchy. The hope is she doesn’t start becoming all worthy and slagging off other stars as less credible.

I think you may have interpreted what she said completely wrongly. To me, those words mean that she is stating she isn’t as physically attractive as Katy Perry (personally, I think she’s being immodest!) so the success she’s having couldn’t be said to be about her looks. That doesn’t mean to say that she thinks Katy Perry IS having success due to her looks as she expressly didn’t state that.

“Rihannas thies make me love her”-now magazine- adele. Dont get me wrong i likw adele and this may seem out of context but regardless its about sellin records. she was quoted saying that about rihanna so how can she say katy perry relies on her best assets tits maybe she just has commercial great dance tunes, no? the same can be said for rihanna – her thies are her best asset to sell records, and she gets her tits(lack of, whatever) out on occasion. nevertheless both still sell body to sell records whereas gaga sells wardrobe nonsense to sell records.
